Yes, I have been doing some "digging" myself as this is a very
interesting subject to me as well...
Anyway, just last night I discovered that Base Jumpers was indeed
written in AMOS (upon sifting through the gfx-files... haha).
Wow, the platform-stage I played was pretty damn good as well,
although I didn't care much for that "force you to climb" play-mechanic.
I hate crap like that unless it's implemented intelligently like in
Murray's "Banana Islands" where he uses a similiar method to good
effect in keeping the game exciting.
Still Base Jumpers is very impressive (based on that one stage I've
played anyway) as far as execution is concerned...
